If you’re after an elegant souvenir from your time in the City of Light, or simply love handcrafted jewelry, make sure to add shopping at Pérouse to your Paris to-do list.
This gem of a jewelry store stands on the corner of Rue de Richelieu in the 2nd Arrondissement, it’s a calm, lovely little space where the pieces on display are beautiful enough to make you linger, without any pressure to purchase.

The maison was founded in 2015 by designer Philippine Pérouse, who trained at the Gemological Institute of America and worked at some of the world’s great jewellery houses before striking out on her own.
All pieces are handmade in 100% recycled gold in her own atelier, located just above the boutique itself, and the workshop’s reputation speaks for itself — it also produces pieces for the prestigious maisons of Place Vendôme.

Made to measure and open to personalisation, every piece feels like it has been made with real care and intention. The collections range from Art Deco-inspired designs to more tropical, colorful pieces, with precious stones at the heart of nearly every creation.
And for many designs, you can actually handpick the individual stones yourself, so each piece is truly one of a kind.
Browsing the cases you can tell how much thought has gone into each design. And the quality is obvious. Each piece feels refined and distinctly its own; this is the kind of jewelry that says quiet luxury, although the prices are more accessible than you might expect.

The team at Pérouse are truly lovely, and are so warm and welcoming it almost feels like you’re stepping into a luxurious spa. Patient, attentive, and refreshingly unpretentious, they’re happy to accommodate English-speakers and will go out of their way to help, whether you’re coordinating a visit or a commission from afar.

With my husband, we’ve been back several times now — first for an engagement ring, then for our wedding bands — and the experience has been fabulous every time.
We went together for the initial appointment, browsing the collections and narrowing down options together, getting sized while discussing different stones and settings.

After that, he took care of the rest with the team quietly and without me knowing so the rest would still be a complete surprise.
Despite not speaking French and being back home abroad, he coordinated the whole order with the team remotely, entirely in English. They kept him updated every step of the way until it was ready.
It’s that kind of thoughtful, unhurried service that makes shopping at Pérouse feel genuinely special and like a true luxury experience.
Urbansider Tip: Visits are by appointment, so book ahead via perouse.paris before heading over. It’s a small boutique, and an appointment means you’ll get the time and attention you deserve.
