Sister Midnight in Pigalle is one of those bars that feels like a well-kept local secret, even if the word’s gotten around these past few years. You almost don’t know it’s there unless you walk by it, but once you do, you’ll want to keep coming back.

This tiny Paris cocktail bar has an effortlessly cool atmosphere that draws you in. And the delicious drinks will have you thirsty for more.

Despite it looking like a place only the local cool kids know, Sister Midnight is super welcoming to both Parisians and visitors alike. The fact that the owners are English-speaking expats makes it popular among the Paris expat crowd too.

It feels like a space where everyone fits in, regardless of language, ethnicity, style, gender, sexual orientation, or anything else. Well, you do have to like good drinks.

I had their signature cocktail, the “Sister Midnight,” and it was fantastic. Vodka, jasmine team cardamom syrup, lemon, and soda water all come together in this refreshingly light, subtly sweet drink that’s perfect for a hot Paris night.

I also tried the “Wicked Kiss,” which had a bold, rich flavor I couldn’t get enough of.

And the best part? These world-class cocktails are around 13€ — a great price for such high-quality drinks in Paris.

The bar itself has a laid-back but stylish vibe, with peacock blue walls, black lacquer, and touches of leopard print that give it a glam rock edge. They host drag and burlesque performances every Saturday, which make for a truly unique night out.

If you prefer something more low-key, they’ve also got a small outdoor terrace. It’s a bit snug, but it’s cozy and perfect for sipping your drink and chatting.

The atmosphere here is super convivial, and you’ll feel right at ease whether you’re with friends or striking up a conversation with someone new.
