This basketball court is not only a great place to get some exercise while in Paris, it’s also a great spot to snap a photo or two. Instagram famous thanks to its beautiful, bright, 90’s-inspired paint job, the court is open to all. Just show up in your sneakers and gym clothes then go through the bright blue gate to get a workout on Paris’s coolest court.
Tucked between a high school and a residential building in Paris’s Pigalle neighborhood, the Playground Duperré was originally revamped back in 2009 to keep the court from closing permenantly. Thanks to a collaboration between local clothing brand and sportswear giant Nike, the basketball court was saved, providing neighborhood kids with a much-needed spot to play.

The basketball court has since changed its colors a few times, now covered in fun neon colors and gradients that give it a vibrant feel that matches the high energy of the neighborhood. The court is open from 10am to 10pm every day and is free to enter. No need to reserve ahead of time, but it is loved by locals and tourists alike, so you may have to wait a bit before getting to play. Especially if you come after school (around 4pm) or on the weekend.
And don’t worry if you didn’t pack your basketball gear, the Pigalle Basketball Store next door is open every day from 12pm-8pm.
