Nestled in behind a church and next to railroad tracks, the Square des Batignolles is a surprisingly peaceful spot.
Little known by tourists, this small park in the 17th Arrondissement draws quite the local crowd when the weather’s nice. A lovely spot to spend a lazy afternoon on the weekend, during the week, the Square des Batignolles is a favorite of nearby workers who flock here to enjoy lunch on one of the many park benches before returning to travail.
This English-style garden has green lawns, lots of shade trees, and a stream that trickles through the square. It’s the perfect place for a picnic with friends or for a leisurely stroll with family when in Paris’s Batignolles neighborhood.
