La Bourse de Commerce, also known as the Commerce Exchange, is a stunning building located in the heart of Paris. Built in the late 18th century, this beautiful round bâtiment was originally used as a commodities exchange, but today it serves as a cultural center and event space.
Upon arriving at La Bourse de Commerce, you’re immediately struck by the grandeur of the building. Its neoclassical design, complete with Corinthian columns and ornate details, is truly a sight to behold. And the interiors are just as impressive.
The main hall is a vast, open space, with an incredible domed glass ceiling that allows natural light to flood in. The walls are adorned with frescoes and paintings, and the overall atmosphere is one of sophistication and refinement.
In addition to being an impressive architectural landmark, La Bourse de Commerce is also the Parisian home of the Pinault Collection, a world-renowned collection of contemporary art. The Pinault Collection features works by some of the most influential artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, including Jeff Koons, Maurizio Cattelan, and Cindy Sherman, to name just a few. The collection is constantly evolving, with new acquisitions and temporary exhibitions being added on a regular basis.
Along with the artworks inside, one of the highlights of a visit to La Bourse de Commerce is the opportunity to climb to the top of the building, where you’ll find a gastronomic restaurant and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of Paris. On a clear day, you can see all the way to the Eiffel Tower and beyond.
Overall, a visit to recently reopened Bourse deCommerce is a must for anyone interested in history, architecture, or culture. The building is a true gem, a testament to the beauty and grandeur of Paris.
