Vegans in Paris, look no further. This concept store is a one-stop shop for all your soy and cruelty-free needs.
Aujourd’hui Demain is the first 100% vegan shop that’s part épicerie, part restaurant, and part clothing boutique to open in the capital. It’s a self-described mix of a Berlin concept store and an Australian café.
Located in the heart of the 11th Arrondissement, it offers organic refrigerated and pantry goods. If you want to impress your French friends at dinner, head to the fridge aisle for luxurious fermented cashew replicas of camemberts and other favorite fromages. You’ll never regret going vegan in France ever again. Not to mention, the desserts will make nearby pastry shops do a double take.
Once you’ve finished grocery shopping, order an espresso and sift through the clothing rack to find eco-friendly t-shirts and tote bags that flaunt animal and tofu love. The selection of leather-free shoes and backpacks are worth checking out, too.
Not only is the shop vegan-friendly, but it promotes sustainable living. Ditch the plastic and go for the wooden toothbrushes and straws for sale. (A turtle in the ocean will thank you.)
If you’re hungry, order a veggie burger with home fries. Or better yet, visit Friday or Saturday evening for their “New Wave Tacos,” by Mexican chef Mario Flores Serrano, for some jackfruit or pickled cactus flavors.
The menu, products, and clothes all stay seasonally fashionable. As do the events held at the concept store, which opened at the end of 2017. Aujourd’hui Demain hosts a number of soirées, workshops, and pop-up shows to discuss ecology and social issues.
