Although it looks and feels like a home, both inside and out, this gorgeous place is my office! You might think I’m joking, but I’m not, well not entirely. As a freelancer, I have the privilege to choose where to work, and although many new coworking spaces are popping up all over Paris, Le Pavillon des Canaux is definitely the place where working seems most like chilling.
Decorated like a colorful dollhouse, this half café, half coworking space serves excellent, locally-roasted coffee (from Lomi, a Parisian coffee maker), healthy drinks, and tasty, affordable food, all to be savored while using the Wi-Fi and looking out on the Bassin de La Villette.
Laptops are welcome during the day so that students, freelancers, and digital nomads can work and mingle in a quiet and comfortable atmosphere, but they aren’t allowed everywhere, so look for the small signs to be sure you’re seated in the right spot.
Le Pavillon also proposes a variety of classes, workshops, exhibitions, and cultural events. With a friendly staff, yummy snacks, and a unique view looking out on the water, what else could you want from a coworking café?
