If you’re put off by the long line in front of the nearby falafel joint, try your luck with Miznon. It can get pretty busy — you may need to gather some patience before you get to the counter to order — but their pita sandwiches and other delicacies are definitely worth the wait!

Miznon Paris
Among many Mediterranean joints in the Marais, Miznon stands out as one of the best.

Once you walk in, you’ll immediately feel the hectic buzz and warm atmosphere of the place. The rooms are small and seats are scarce, but the quick turnover means you won’t have to stand for too long. The décor is simple, with few decorations aside from the old stone walls and the boxes of fruits and vegetables scattered about.

Both decorative and functional, these same vegetables are used to prepare their delicious pitas. Everything on the oft-changing menu is fresh and tasty. I haven’t yet tried the grilled cauliflower that Miznon’s now famous for, but maybe next time!

Israeli chef Eyal Chani, owner of the original Miznon restaurant in Tel Aviv, opened this location a few years ago now. Settled in Le Marais, this affordable-but-fantastic falafel spot adds an authentic air of Mediterranean cuisine to the busy old Parisian streets.

Since opening in Le Marais, Miznon has now opened two more Paris locations: one at 37 Quai de Valmy, 75010 Paris, right along the Canal Saint-Martin, and one off Grands Boulevards at 3 Rue de la Grange Batelière, 75009 Paris.
