Vintage leather jackets transformed into chic handbags? Limited edition silk scarves printed by a woman who designs for Hermes? Independent Parisian jewelry designers creating unique necklaces and earrings of recycled bronze or 18k gold? Welcome to Matières à Réflexion, with boutiques in the Haut Marais and Pigalle since 2002.

Next door to their Marais location you can even watch the bag designers at work in their atelier. Bring your own long-forgotten leather jacket for an upcycled custom creation!

What I love most is that this multi-brand shop features lesser-known designers, many of whom prove that ‘Made in Paris’ craftsmanship is alive and well. Not to mention that their selection of bags, jewelry, shoes, and clothing is very well curated!
