It’s quite a nice surprise to find this bistronomic haven in the Champs Elysées neighborhood, an area otherwise known for its Michelin star tables or touristic food joints. After a stroll along the famous boulevard and a courtesy visit to say Bonjour to the French President at the nearby Palais de l’Elysée, head towards the Rue de Mermoz for a delicious bistro lunch.
Inside the small dining room, the professional staff bustles around, serving dishes prepared in the back kitchen by Chef Manon Fleury, a young Chef trained in the kitchens of Semilla.
On the plate, you get carefully selected fresh seasonal ingredients and an inventive neo-bistro food with oriental and mediterranean hints. The lunch menu is short but terribly mouth watering, and at night, it changes to a list of tapas-like small dishes to share and enjoy with a glass of wine.
The menu changes regularly to accommodate fresh seasonal products, but Manon Fleury has a true gift for blending aromatic flavors and fruity notes in her dishes. We recommend her pan-fried cockles with fresh coriander and candied lemon, and then indulging in the candied mandarin on a soaked shortbread — surely this must be heaven!
