Welcome to the quintessential Parisian bistro! Tucked in a trendy corner of the 11th Arrondissement, Le Pure Café takes you back to the turn of the 20th century, serving an international bistro cuisine in an inviting, authentic atmosphere.
Although you might not be able to tell from the outside, once you walk past the small tables on the terrace and push through the door, you’ll realize you’ve traveled back in time and arrived in Paris circa 1905. I wasn’t expecting it when I walked in, but boy, what a nice surprise!

A center zinc bar greets you with neatly stacked glasses and glimmering gold accents, making you want to order a drink right away, whether coffee, wine, or a cocktail. Comfy red banquettes line the dining room walls, with wooden tables and chairs waiting for you to take a seat. The space is open and welcoming, and you’ll feel right at home as soon as you sit down.
This charming Paris café fills up for lunch and dinner, with locals coming to enjoy simple but scrumptious bistro cuisine mixing French standards and international dishes. The menu also features a few vegetarian options including a particularly yummy veggie burger as well as a blue cheese and butternut velouté perfect for chilly days. Saturdays and Sundays, 12-4pm, the bistro proposes brunch too, offering pancakes with maple syrup, scrambled eggs, and more.
Outside of dining hours, the café is quiet and makes for a cozy, oh-so Parisian place for sipping a coffee and reading the morning paper or working away on your laptop. They have free Wi-Fi and if you sit at the tables along the left wall, you’ll even be able to charge your computer.
