During a recent work trip to Paris, I found myself wandering around the 13 Arrondissement searching for a good spot to sit down and finish up a few things on my laptop. And that’s when I was lucky enough to stumble onto the Café du Village.
Just off Place d’Italie, this chill Paris co-working café felt relaxing and welcoming right away. Plus, it felt super safe too, something I always look out for when traveling solo!

There’s plenty of seating spread across several different sections: large wooden tables and benches near the bar that are great for chatting with other freelancers, students, or young professionals, and areas with tables, chairs, and couches if you prefer more personal space.
(There’s also a quieter, more traditional co-working area with desks and office chairs, but these spots are typically reserved for members with a monthly plan.)
The reliable free Wi-Fi and plenty of outlets make it ideal for settling in to work for a few hours. And there’s no charge as long as you order something — prices are refreshingly affordable: coffee starts at 2€ with beers from 7€ a pint for non-members.

Come evening, Café du Village becomes even more fun, regularly hosting DJ sets, live music, and stand-up comedy, along with tech community meetups and movie nights. The kitchen also opens up so you can grab some quick pub snacks too. If it’s a nice night, make sure to go up to the rooftop terrace — it’s a great way to unwind with a cheap drink after a busy day.
Aren’t a night owl or haven little ones in tow? There’s also a family-friendly Sunday brunch and tons of activities for kids on the agenda.
Whether you’re looking for a casual co-working space, a cool spot to grab a coffee with other moms and tots, or a place to have a beer and meet fellow solopreneurs, I definitely recommend giving Café du Village a try!
