Cyril Lignac’s Aux Prés on Rue du Dragon feels more like a neighborhood hangout than a trendy Parisian restaurant. It’s undoubtedly chic with its beautiful white marble bar, floral wallpaper, and dark wood details but the scale is just right to make it feel intimate and cozy.
It’s a great place to come for a date or a fun but casual dinner with friends. And if you’re alone or with just one other person, sit at the bar — you’ll be that much closer to some of the best cocktails in Paris (we highly recommend the margarita).
The menu is divided into five sections: Crispy & Spicy, Raw, Vegan & Veggie, From the Sea, Market Table, and Sweet. We recommend trying something from each section and sharing dishes.
The menu has a definite French classic meets Asian vibe. We love a restaurant that can pull off both an excellent crispy rice salmon sushi and cheeseburger. Other favorites include the spicy tempura-style shrimp and the pan-fried foie gras with soy sauce and ginger.
This Left Bank spot is open every day for lunch and dinner. We recommend making a reservation in advance — the space is small and it fills up quickly. You can specify if you’d like to sit at the bar or in one of the leather booths, but there’s not a bad seat in the house.
