​If you’re on the hunt for a cool, offbeat brewery near Paris, Gallia Brewery in Pantin is a spot you won’t want to miss. And at just two stops outside of town on Metro Line 5, it’s only a few minutes’ metro ride from central Paris, or a 15-20-minute walk from the northeastern corner of the 19th Arrondissement.

Originally founded in 1890 and recently revived as part of Paris’s growing local craft beer movement, Gallia is located just northeast of central Paris. Set in a converted warehouse, the brewery and taproom has a refreshingly grungy vibe that’s still cozy, welcoming, and authentic. And basically only locals know about it!

It’s perfect if you’re a fan of dive bars, good times, and great beers!

Gallia’s Pantin bar has an impressive selection of craft beers, with more varieties on tap here than you’ll find anywhere else around Paris, including seasonal and limited-edition brews.

Inside the adjoining warehouse, there’s usually a food truck serving tasty snacks too, making it a great spot for a relaxed apéro or dinner with a local Paris beer.

There’s plenty of seating outdoors as well, so it’s a great place to meet up with friends in Paris or make friends with locals on a nice day.

This Parisian brewery also hosts various events like live music, stand-up comedy, and there’s even an ongoing hula hoop contest for who can hoop the longest.

Needless to say, you’re going to have fun and probably get a little silly.

So, if you’re after great local beer in a laid-back setting that’s refreshingly different from the typical Parisian bar scene, Gallia’s HQ is definitely worth a visit.
