A stroke of luck. When we pushed open the door of Septime that day, a bit lost and hungry, we had no idea where we were about to have lunch. Of course, we hadn’t booked three weeks in advance (as is strongly advised), but the waiter very kindly made space for us at the end of the bar counter. And oh dear, what a wonderful surprise!
At first glance, this gastronomic bistro was immediately welcoming, and not only because it was freezing cold outside. Daylight flows in abundantly through the large windows, bathing the room in a spring-like atmosphere no matter the season. Generous bunches of flowers, wooden tables, old walls, and wrought-iron staircases complete the feeling that you’ve just been beamed up to your friend’s country house.

The service here is laid-back but professional and polite, and the food is oh-so up to the reputation: seasonal menus orchestrated around fresh and carefully chosen ingredients, an excellent wine, and a perfectly mastered technique. Chef Bertrand Grebaut delivers original and contrasted harmonies with a beautiful presentation.

With excellent ingredients, innovative cuisine, and a Michelin star, Septime promises du grand spectacle! And you don’t have to take my word for it – Septime was named the 15th best restaurant in the world by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants for 2019!
