Just next to Paris, in the ritzy suburb of Neuilly-sur-Seine, this restaurant is a chic cove to come and enjoy a delectable raclette. This little slice of alpine life is a 7-minute walk from the metro stations Neuilly Porte Maillot or Les Sablons so on colder days, you might want to take a short Uber ride there!

Once inside, Le Chalet’s wood paneling and stone walls will transport you to the mountains, somewhere near Méribel or Val d’Isère, but without the long drive.

Take a seat on one of the wooden chairs where you’ll probably rub elbows with politicians and financiers while savoring cheesy goodness from an enticing menu. A raclette with charcuterie and potatoes go for 22€, but you can also order sides like smoked salmon or beef.

Try the tartiflette with salad for something a little lighter, or go even cheesier with a three-cheese fondue Savoyard. But to be honest, choosing the wine is probably my favorite part. If you’re not sure which to pick, you can always ask the server for recommendations of what will pair well with your dish. Wine and cheese—this is what heaven is all about.

But since anything with so much cheese is pretty heavy, make a note to somehow leave room for dessert. After all, a meal isn’t complete without it and this place offers delicious traditional French desserts. Opt for the mousse au chocolat, the crème brulée à la cassonade, the fondue au chocolat or one of their many other delicious treats to end on a sweet note.

Can’t get enough melted cheese? Here are our picks for the restaurants serving the best raclette in Paris.
