If you’re looking for a great place to sit with an apéro and watch the world go by, look no further than Dada in the 17th Arrondissement. On the corner of the shopping street Avenue des Ternes and the market street Rue Poncelet, this is a hopping little café-bar, and you’d be advised to come early to get a good spot. Inside, it’s all lovely tiled floors and marble countertops, accented with a red sci-fi ceiling, but outside, it’s mayhem.
The waiters are friendly, especially considering the crowd is mostly local, but it can get hectic and tight. Yet, once you sit with a glass of Ruinart, the champagne served there, or a large orange, glowing Apérol Spritz, you can relax and enjoy watching the shoppers bustling past with their purchases, their little dogs drawn in by the smell of charcuterie, and the people waiting around to grab a table. This is the perfect spot for an authentically Parisian pre-dinner drink any night.
