The Hardware Société is originally from Melbourne, Australia. They opened their Parisian location in Montmartre in 2016, nestled at the foot of the Sacred Heart Basilica, which is the highest point in the city of Paris. With their inventive brunch dishes and unique decor, this eatery has made a name for itself on the Parisian café scene. 

With a cozy atmosphere and creative menu, this is a must-visit for anyone looking for chill café vibes with a lot of good food. It has both terrace and indoor seating. While sipping coffee by the terrace is très Parisien, the interiors here are comfy as well, with the window in the back offering stunning views of Paris. 

Menu items include delicious brunch fare like scrambled eggs with herbed ricotta and pecorino Danish, baked eggs with chorizo and gruyere, and herb and parmesan soufflé. My personal favorite here is the fried brioche with passionfruit curd and Chantilly. They also have hearty options for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten-free folks. 

The service is casual and friendly with the staff speaking English and French. The prices are on par with other Parisian places starting at 15€ for brunch dishes. They also offer a choice of fresh baked goods with prices starting at 15€, as well as coffee and drinks. 

With The Hardware Société being a hip address in a popular district, tables can be hard to come by at peak brunch and lunch hours. Keep in mind that they don’t take reservations, so if you’re brunching on a weekend, it’s best to get here early before the noon rush.
