Get out of that end-of-winter funk by taking in a comedy show in Paris, in English! Parisian comedian Julie Collas pokes fun at all things French in this one-hour, one-woman show that has been delighting audiences since 2019. “Oh My God, She’s Parisian!” is slated to end its run on April 1, so be sure to get there this month before it closes. Through May 21, 2023 | En Avant la Musique at the Musée en Herbe
Parents in Paris who are also fans of music, take your kids to the children’s museum, le Musée en Herbe this month for an interactive exhibition all about the history of music listening. You’ll see rare gramophones, vintage record players, and even iPods on a journey through the different devices we’ve used to listen to music since the end of the 19th century.

Through September 11, 2023 | Before the Storm at the Bourse de Commerce
Last month, one of the most anticipated art exhibitions in Paris opened at the Bourse de Commerce and it did not disappoint! If you haven’t made it there yet, you still have plenty of time to enjoy Avant l’orage by Danh Vo. Bringing together works by more than 20 artists around the theme of climate change and stunning storms, this show (as well as the beautiful Bourse de Commerce itself) is a must-see.

Through January 7, 2024 | Chagall, Paris – New York at the Atelier des Lumières
After exhibitions on Van Gogh, Monet, and Dalí, Paris’s immersive digital art space, the Atelier des Lumières is now putting the spotlight on Chagall. If you’re looking to experience art in a whole new way, the Atelier des Lumières should certainly be on your list, and this newest temporary exhibition is no exception.

March 3 – 30, 2023 | Movies with Lost in Frenchlation
Every month, our friends over at Lost in Frenchlation host several screenings of current French movies with English subtitles at cinemas across town. Whether you’re just visiting Paris for a few days or are an anglophone expat who now calls the City of Light home, these movie nights are a great way to immerse yourself in French culture without needing to speak French fluently. The six movie screenings this March are:

March 5 – March 25, 2023 | Races to Run
March in Paris means it’s time to run. As the first days of spring arrive, so do the first big foot races in the French capital!
The 2023 running season starts off with France’s largest half marathon, the Semi de Paris, on March 5. This year’s Paris half-marathon is already full, but you can already pre-register for the 2024 edition.
The following week brings the 10k and half marathon of La Grande Course du Grand Paris (website in French), leading participants from central Paris through the neighboring suburbs of Saint-Denis and Vincennes. Registration is still open for both races.
For less serious runners, the fun Color Obstacle Rush comes to the Paris region on March 25 combining an enormous, inflatable obstacle course with a color powder party. Tickets are still available for this year’s edition on the official the Color Obstacle Rush (website in French).
If you’re not up for a race but would still like to get in a workout while in the city, these are some of the best places to go for a run in Paris.

March 11 – April 9, 2023 | Hamlet at Opéra Bastille
Based on Alexandre Dumas père’s 1847 adaptation of Shakespeare’s famous play, this French opera composed by Ambroise Thomas and directed by Krzysztof Warlikowski is the perfect opportunity for English speakers in Paris to enjoy a night at the opera. Not only do you surely already know the story that will play out on stage, but you’ll also have real-time captions in both French and English projected above the actors, called surtitles.
