If you want to feel like a king or queen while in Paris, there’s no better place to stop for a cup of tea than Nina’s Paris. Selling and serving tea and cakes following Marie-Antoinette’s favorite recipes, Nina’s handpicks their ingredients straight from the King’s Garden of Versailles (Le Potager du Roi), one of the oldest vegetable gardens in the world.

Perched just behind the ritzy Place Vendôme, the tea room bears another unique connection to French royalty; the 17th-century storefront which Nina’s now calls home was originally a perfumery, and was actually the official fragrance supplier to the Court of Versailles under King Louis XIV. Today, the original invoices for Marie-Antoinette are on display at the Nina’s Vendôme boutique and museum in Paris.

The tea room, elegantly decorated in the old French style with tints of gold on its cabinetry and rose cushioned chairs, makes drinking tea a royal affair. The service is impeccable and the tea is truly delicious. You can also have a little slice of pink cake (I’m sure Marie Antoinette would approve!), and enjoy a precious moment with a gal pal before strolling to the gorgeous Place Vendôme to shop at Cartier for some princess-worthy jewels. Sometimes in Paris, you can have it all!
