The 10th arrondissement is not without its fair share of hipster hangouts, and the Hotel Grand Amour is among the best. Smack dab on the Rue de la Fidélité (just steps from the Metro Gare de l’Est), this sweet spot is the creation of hôtelier Thierry Costes and artist André Saraiva.
The hotel is home to a stylish restaurant with an oh-so-Instagrammable outdoor patio decorated in splashes of pink and white millennial-approved tones, the walls covered with mirrors and a myriad of plants. The ambiance is cool; this is a place where Parisians in-the-know, both young and old, come to enjoy a ratatouille for lunch or a latte and a cigarette with les amis.
The service is friendly; the waiters are helpful and inclined to make food suggestions. Although the atmosphere has a very Parisian vibe, foreigners abound – it is a hotel after all. Even if you’re not staying here during your trip, head to the hotel for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or for brunch on Sundays. And, of course there’s a full bar with plenty to drink!
