The best way to take in Paris during summertime is on a rooftop with a refreshing drink in hand. Many cool spots come and go though, so we’ve compiled a list of the must-hit staples that are sure to please – our three favorite rooftop terraces where you know you’ll always be able to sip a spritz and enjoy glittering views of the beautiful city.
Perched atop the department store BHV Marais on the popular Rue de Rivoli, Le Perchoir Marais plays host to a hipster crowd in a small space decorated with earthy bamboo and cozy Moroccan pillows spread about. The spot to go for happy hour, the delicious cocktails here are served by extra good-looking bartenders, and views of the Eiffel Tower and the Hôtel de Ville make the time spent waiting in the queue worth it. (P.S. There are multiple Le Perchoir locations throughout the city, each worth checking out too!)

In 2018, the luxury department store Printemps remodeled their rooftop, and what we got was the ultra-stylish Perruche restaurant. With sweeping 360 degree views, the restaurant is a lush Eden springing with vegetation and decorated with striped lemon yellow sofa pillows that scream summer. The menu is Parisian and high-end, so prepare your wallet!
Printemps de l’Homme, 2 Rue du Havre, 75008 Paris
Metro Havre – Caumartin or Saint-Lazare
Open every day from 09:35 – 02:00
Located on top of the Centre Pompidou, Georges reflects the contemporary style of the museum with its minimalist design. Glass and steel make up the frame of the sleek and chic establishment while elegant metal and beige cushioned chairs span the interior. Outside, the restaurant offers a roomy rooftop patio where you can dine and enjoy the summer breeze. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy magnificent views of Paris, this is a game-changer.

If you love books, then you're in for a treat in Paris! Narrowing the best shops for book lovers down to just five is a difficult task, but to help my fellow traveling bookworms, I'm sure going to give it a try, probably cheating a little as I go.
