To celebrate into the New Year, there’s no better place than Paris. Plenty of chic restaurants offer festive menus for the occasion and great views of the City of Light. Here are our top five tables to make the most of New Year’s Eve in Paris. Remember to book ahead though, but most places have easy online booking.
1. Monsieur Bleu
20 Avenue de New York, 75116 Paris
Located in the Palais de Tokyo, the modern art museum in the 16th Arrondissement, by the Seine overlooking the Eiffel Tower, Monsieur Bleu is a modern, stylish, and very elegant restaurant. And that’s just the décor. The food is a fusion between French and international cuisines, and for New Year’s Eve, the chic spot will be serving a fixed-price, truffle-inspired menu including scallops and lobster, cheese and pavlova, and, of course, a coupe de champagne!

2. Café de l’Homme
17 Place du Trocadéro et du 11 Novembre, 75116 Paris
Inside the Musée de l’Homme (Museum of Mankind), on Trocadéro, literally opposite the Eiffel Tower, it doesn’t get any better than this. Okay, the best views are to be had from the terrace in summer, but the contemporary inside is pretty chic, too. And you are a hop and skip from the views. A set three-course menu including the obligatory scallops and pavlova plus champagne is on offer for New Year’s Eve.
3. Georges
6ème étage, Palais Beaubourg Place Georges Pompidou, 75004 Paris
On top of the Centre Georges Pompidou overlooking the whole of Paris, Georges is a great venue, any time of the day or year. With stylish food and great cocktails, New Year’s Eve tends to be more party time than quiet dinner, so put on your party frock and enjoy the views.

4. Le Bistro Parisien
Port de la Bourdonnais, 75007 Paris
Paris is magical when seen from the river. Yes, those bateaux mouches might at times look a little too touristy, but when it comes to night time cruises, this one is difficult to beat. Le Bistro Parisien offers a set menu, a one-hour cruise and then partying in front of the Eiffel Tower at midnight, is not a bad way to usher in the New Year.
5. La Crémaillère 1900
15 Place du Tertre, 75018 Paris
Montmartre is very popular with tour groups, but you can’t beat the atmosphere. If you want something different in a great part of Paris, a bit of can-can, plenty of affordable options, and dancing until the early morning, try La Crémaillère on Place de Tertre. Step outside the restaurant and watch Paris at midnight from the top of the stairs with a glass in hand.
