The best way to take in Paris during summertime is on a rooftop with a refreshing drink in hand. Many cool spots come and go though, so we’ve compiled a list of the must-hit staples that are sure to please — our three favorite rooftop restaurants and bars where you know you’ll always be able to sip a spritz and enjoy glittering views of the beautiful city.
Le Perchoir Marais
Perched atop the department store BHV Marais on the popular Rue de Rivoli, Le Perchoir Marais plays host to a hipster crowd in a small space decorated with earthy bamboo and cozy Moroccan pillows spread about. The spot to go for happy hour, the delicious cocktails here are served by extra good-looking bartenders, and views of the Eiffel Tower and the Hôtel de Ville make the time spent waiting in the queue worth it.
P.S. There are multiple Le Perchoir locations throughout the city, each worth checking out, including Le Perchoir de l’Est which sits on top of a train station and the brand new Le Perchoir Porte de Versailles which we can’t wait to test!
In 2018, the luxury department store Printemps remodeled their rooftop, and what we got was the ultra-stylish Perruche restaurant. With sweeping 360-degree views, the restaurant is a lush Eden springing with vegetation and decorated with striped lemon yellow sofa pillows that scream summer. It’s the perfect place for a rooftop brunch in Paris. The menu is Parisian and high-end, so prepare your wallet!
Located on top of the Centre Pompidou, Georges reflects the contemporary style of the museum with its minimalist design. Glass and steel make up the frame of the sleek and chic establishment while elegant metal and beige cushioned chairs span the interior. Outside, the restaurant offers a roomy rooftop patio where you can dine and enjoy the summer breeze. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy magnificent views of Paris, this is a game-changer.
